I am running for Skaneateles Supervisor reelection because I believe that local government must be the best government: attentive, responsive, transparent, and accessible.

Protect Skaneateles Lake

Our zoning and the Skaneateles Lake NYS Nine-Element plan for Phosphorus identifies the best​land use management practices. In collaboration with other stakeholders, Skaneateles will continue monitoring data, implementing projects, and preserving land to proactively preserve lake quality. I will continue to engage with our federal representatives, New York State, the City of Syracuse, the three counties, four other towns, the Village, the Skaneateles Lake Association, land trusts, and research organizations. The complexity of the science and government structures requires knowing the key individuals to pursue effective solutions.

Listen and strategically plan

Skaneateles residents are experts on Skaneateles. Their thoughts and observations are essential to our decision-making. Change is inevitable. Informed and deliberate conversations with consideration of future effects enable the best solutions. I will ensure voices are heard and the best information is shared and employed in strategic decisions for the best future outcomes. We need to plan our future together for the generations to come. As needed, we will continue to keep public hearings open and revise proposals to fully address the concerns of residents. I will remain readily available to residents.

Budget and engage for now and the future

For many years, Skaneateles deferred maintenance and equipment replacement. It resulted in costly corrective maintenance and deteriorated infrastructure. I led the implementation of asset management software to inventory each item and identify its expected life and replacement cost. We use it in our line-by-line requirements-based budget reviews to set aside enough funds each year to repair or replace items appropriately at the correct time. We sought grants and other cost savings to counter rapidly increasing construction and personnel costs, especially healthcare insurance. We decreased the 2026 tax levy while setting aside reserves for the future.​

• 22 years of service in the U.S. Navy, earning increasingly challenging assignments and dealing with complex international situations.

• Over two decades of experience helping at-risk students achieve success.

• Engaged in numerous community service projects, supporting fitness and wellness, youth activities, humanitarian aid, and environmental conservation.

Local Government Expertise:

• Two years as Town Supervisor.

• Four years of experience as a Town Councilor with a deep understanding of budgeting and operations.

• Successfully reversed escalating costs for the Transfer Station while improving services.

• Led the development of the first-ever Northern Hamlet Plan, incorporating resident input.

• Secured a $4.4M grant to address water department improvements.
