Mission Statement

The Skaneateles Democratic Committee works to identify candidates for local office who endorse the goals of the Committee. The SDC also provides support for party candidates in regional, state, and nationwide elections.

Village & Town

Community Preservation & Safety:  The Committee believes in preserving and enhancing our village and town in a responsible way guided by a Comprehensive Plan. This includes continuous evaluation of and upgrades to our infrastructure and sensible planning for future growth.

Equal Opportunity & Diversity:  The Committee believes the laws of both the Town and Village should foster an environment in both housing, education, and business that results in a community that is open to all.

 

Environmental Stewardship:  Skaneateles should lead efforts to protect Skaneateles Lake and its environs, including maintaining and improving water quality and preserving open space in the community.

 

Quality & Efficiency of Taxpayer Supported Services:  The Committee encourages transparency and community feedback to ensure public funding continues to address the priorities of the community.
